The Galaxy S23 series may arrive with audio improvements
The tipster says that Samsung will add a new microphone hole to the bottom of all three phones. That way, there will be two microphone holes that are symmetrically distributed, one on each side of the Type-C port. This should improve audio input, that’s for sure. On top of that, the tipster says that the SIM card slot tray will sit at the bottom of the device, and that he’s “100%” sure of that. For comparison’s sale, that’s exactly where it sits on the Galaxy S22 series devices. The Galaxy S23 series may actually arrive sooner than expected. We assumed that the devices will be coming in February, but the same tipster recently said that may not be the case. They may launch sooner due to the earlier availability of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. So, we may see them become official in January.
The Galaxy S23 & S23+ already appeared in renders
The Galaxy S23 and S23+ already surfaced in CAD-based renders, quite recently, actually. Those images gave us the very first look at the two phones, and they’re probably accurate. Both devices will feature a minor redesign compared to the Galaxy S22 series. They’ll adopt the Galaxy S22 Ultra rear camera setup design. We still didn’t get to see the Galaxy S23 Ultra, though. That handset may offer a bigger change, but we’ll see. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will fuel all three phones. First, it was reported that it will fuel them in all regions, but we’re not that sure anymore. Samsung still seems to be thinking about using an Exynos chip in some regions. As a reminder, last year, only European models came with the Exynos 2200, and that was a mistake by Samsung. They offered worse battery life, worse camera performance, and worse performance in general compared to their Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 counterparts.
