The new Galaxy tablet will cost $1099.99 or $30.56 a month for 36 months on an AT&T Unlimited plan. The company is offering a Samsung Book Cover Keyboard Slim for free to anyone who pre-orders the device before March 31. The keyboard accessory usually retails for $159.99. This is the 8GB+128GB variant of the Galaxy Tab S8+ we are talking about. The 256GB storage option isn’t available with 5G connectivity, at least not yet. The rest of the specs are the same. We have a 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1752 x 2800 pixels resolution. The tablet supports Samsung’s fastest S Pen yet. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor powers the Galaxy Tab S8+ 5G. Other highlights include an under-display optical fingerprint scanner, AKG-tuned quad stereo speakers, a 10,090mAh battery with 5W fast charging, wireless Samsung DeX, Android 12-based One UI 4.1, and a dual rear camera setup with 4K video recording.
Samsung is struggling to keep up with Galaxy Tab S8 demand
Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab S8 series on February 9. The company unveiled three models — Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. While it promised to sell all of them with optional 5G connectivity, only the Galaxy Tab S8+ is available to purchase in a 5G variant yet. Verizon has been taking pre-orders for the 5G-equipped Galaxy Tab S8+ for a few weeks now. AT&T is joining the party today. Unfortunately, neither carrier are in a position to start shipping the device immediately. Even Samsung itself doesn’t expect the Galaxy Tab S8+ 5G to be available in stock before March 25. The company has been struggling to keep up with the sky-high demand for its new tablets as well as the Galaxy S22 series smartphones. More than a month after their unveiling, the latest Samsung flagships aren’t as widely available as they should be. This shipping delay will likely persist for a couple of months more. The gap between demand and supply should then gradually start to narrow. Meanwhile, if you’re waiting to buy the Galaxy Tab S8+ 5G from AT&T, you might want to place a pre-order today to increase your chances of getting it early. Verizon customers can also pre-order the device today to get it in April. It’s unclear when T-Mobile will start selling Samsung’s latest flagship Android tablet.
