In addition to launching global pre-registration for Apex Legends Mobile, EA has also put out a new trailer. The trailer doesn’t appear to show any new gameplay, but it does mention a number of different mobile-exclusive features. For instance, mobile players will get new limited time events, new modes, and new events that were otherwise not previously available in the game on other platforms. EA also mentions that there will be other mobile-only modes and features present. So even if you primarily play on console or PC, it might be worth checking out the mobile version to see what’s new.
Apex Legends Mobile gets global pre-registration rewards
As is usually the case with many big mobile game releases, Apex Legends Mobile will offer players rewards for signing up. Since pre-registration is global, everyone is open to receiving these rewards as well. There’s still no exact release date for the game other than sometime in 2022. EA does give a little bit of a hint though. The company says players who sign up during the pre-registration period will receive items at player sign-up milestones in the months ahead. So the release is probably dropping sometime this Summer or later. And if you’re at all interested in playing it would be worth signing up as soon as possible so you don’t miss the in-game loot. As for what you get, it seems the rewards will mostly be exclusive cosmetic items.
Drop in on mobile-only maps
Apex Legends Mobile isn’t just getting exclusive features and modes. It will also have exclusive maps. This decision is part of the “built from the ground up for mobile” design approach to the game that Respawn is taking. It wants the game to feel fresh and fluid for mobile players. Which should help continued engagement. If you want to check out the new pre-registration trailer you can watch it below.
