It is great to see what Anker managed to pack up into such a small body. For those of you who don’t know, GaN stands for gallium nitride, and it’s somewhat new tech that OEMs started using for charging accessories.
Anker introduced the world’s smallest 100W GaN charger, and it has three ports
The Anker Nano II 100W comes with two USB-C ports, as you can see in the provided image. In addition to those two ports, you’ll also notice a regular USB-A port on it. The company is using second-gen GaN II technology that it debuted last year. Do note that you can get 100W on a single device only. That is understandable, but still, it’s worth noting. If you plug in several devices (up to three) that can be charged at 100W, the charger will divide the power. So, you’ll get 33.3W charging for each of them, essentially. It can charge up to 100W max, regardless of how many devices you plug in. 100W is a lot of power, though. You can charge laptops without a problem using this, at full speed. In addition to that, you can even fast charge your smartphone, or some other gadget(s).
Anker’s PowerIQ 3.0 technology is included, and so is support for USB PD 3.0
Do note that the Anker Nano II 100W also comes with Anker’s PowerIQ 3.0 technology for optimizing charging. In addition to that, it has support for USB Power Delivery 3.0 PPS (programmable power standard). That essentially means that it will not only work with Samsung’s Super Fast Charging standard, but it’s fully compatible with the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro devices that Google announced. This charger is essentially expected to replace the Anker Nano II 65W charger (also known as the Anker 735). That charger came without fold-out plugs, and had a longer, thinner design than this one. Anker said that the Nano II 100 will become available in March, and that it will cost $79 in the US.
