Android 13 is now rolling out to the ASUS ZenFone 9
Yes, this is a stable build we’re talking about, not the beta build that was available for quite some time. As you can see in the screenshot provided below the article, the update weighs 838.55MB. We’ve also included a changelog that ASUS provided. Now, the ZenFone 9 does include ZenUI skin on top of Android, but it’s a stock-ish skin with a number of useful additions. The same seems to be the case with Android 13, based on our short time with it.
All the useful ASUS tweaks are still present here
All the useful tweaks that were available in Android 12 are still here, with additions Google presented with Android 13. ASUS revamped a ton of stock apps, and also adjusted the Quick Settings panel, notification tray, and volume panel to be in line with the Android 13 design. You now also have access to the notification permission feature. You can adjust the permission of each app in the Apps & notifications settings. The system clipboard now has the “Auto delete” option and editor features. The Vibration & haptic strength setting has been adjusted, as were the font size settings. The width/length of the navigation white bar has been changed, and much more.
This is the first ASUS-made smartphone to get the Android 13 update
The ZenFone 9 is the first ASUS-made smartphone to get the Android 13 update. We’ve actually awarded the ZenFone 9 with one of our end-of-year awards, as it’s truly a great smartphone. It’s a powerhouse packed into a rather compact body. You can check whether this update is available to your device by going to the phone’s Settings, then ‘System’, and then tapping the ‘System update’ option. If it’s not, don’t fret, this is a staged rollout we’re talking about. The update will become available in the near future.
