If your phone is equipped with an under-display fingerprint scanner, Android 13 would enable a more prominent pulsation when unlocking the phone. The folks over at Android Police have confirmed this on their Pixel 6. The same device running Android 13 doesn’t pulsate as harshly when unlocking with the fingerprint scanner. As soon as you have unlocked the phone, you will notice another subtle animation tweak. The homescreen icons now float out onto the screen from the center. On Android 12, app apps pop up from the bottom of the screen. Navigating through menus in the settings also now sees pages being pulled or pushed left and right. Currently, when you open a new settings page, the text simply zooms out and replaces the current page. According to the new report, the notification tray expansion animation when pulling down from the top of the screen has also undergone some tweaking on Android 13. The new animation feels a bit “sluggish,” though it could get better with subsequent beta releases. None of these animation changes are massive. Google has made slight tweaks and fine-tuned the animations where it felt necessary. Most users may not even notice the changes. We will have to wait and see if there are more of these changes in the pipeline.

What else changes in Android 13 Beta 2?

Along with these animating tweaks, Android 13 Beta 2 also brings changes to the media player and battery widget. Google has also increased the minimum battery level from 5 percent to 10 percent for the battery saver to kick in. Dark mode scheduling gets a new Bedtime option too. Automatic photo sync between connected Android phone and Chromebook is another new feature part of Android 13 Beta 2. The latest release also brings back the vibrate mode icon and the Pixel Launcher globar search, both of which had recently disappeared. There are a few new options for developers as well. Android 13 will likely get a couple more beta builds before hitting the stable channel. We will keep you posted with all the major new features that the new Android version brings.
